New ADK Leader Certification Requirements Implementation
Starting in 2025, Trip leaders will require to be certified. There are three levels of certification, depending on the difficulty of the hike or paddle. Please see the details at the link below.

10/17/2026 – Broom County Riverbank Cleanup – Saturday, October 17th, 9:00AM
Join the Binghamton Chapter of the ADK for the annual Riverbank Cleanup in Otsiningo Park. Bring water, gloves, and proper clothing. Trash bags will be provided. We should plan about 2.5 hours.
We will meet Saturday, October 17th at 9:00AM near the North End of the Pond. Park at the first parking lot on the right when you enter the south entrance.

11/10/2026 – Speaker for Tuesday November 10th Chapter Meeting, 7:00PM
The November Chapter meeting will be a presentation by Edward G. Henry, a well-known conservation professional, author, and former National Parks forest ranger. He writes detailed trail guides for hikers in the Northeast region of the United States. His guides are highly regarded for integrating regional history, forest ecology, geology, meteorology, and wildlife biology.
